PIONEER CLUB IS ON SUMMER BREAK

Pioneer Club meets Wednesday evenings October through April. It begins with a meal at 5:30. Activities for boys and girls begin following the meal at 6:00 p.m. Parents--come with your kids and share the meal. Programs are specifically designed to challenge our children, ages 2 through 12 and equip them for spiritual maturity. Activities include Bible study, arts and crafts, songs and games. Every child is given the personal attention and encouragement to help mold their knowledge and attitude about God.
We have invited neighborhood children as well, so we hope our groups will include both churched and non-churched children who enjoy being with friends and making new friends in a safe Christian environment. Helping children learn life skills and a Christian lifestyle are important concerns to parents. Pioneer Club achieves this with its fun-filled activity times and practical Bible explorations.

Pioneer Club has five separate programs to choose from. Each week club members will work on skill-building awards and Bible awards. Since most award work is completed right in club, everyone will earn awards. Along with the award activities, a weekly meeting will include games, singing, Bible exploration, Bible memory, and a snack. Every meeting is packed with fun. Kids and club leaders enjoy being together and inviting their friends. It's a highlight of most kids' week!

Classes for Pioneer Clubs are divided into various fun groups according to their ages or academic level as follows:

      Level

          Ages 2-3 (Skippers)

          Ages 4-5 (Scooters)

          Grades 1-2 (Voyagers)

          Grades 3-4 (Pathfinders)

          Grades 5-6 (Trailblazers)

HOW CAN YOU HELP

TEACHERS:   We are recruiting 2 teachers for each level.  We will provide training and curriculum so you have all you need to plan and keep track of your group.  The curriculum includes a weekly plan for teaching, an explanation of award activity, and bible activity.  We will also have a craft planned to help you emphasize the theme for the unit and week.   Snacks will also be provided.

SNACK COORDINATOR:   plan a snack or invite donations from the congregation each week.  We’ll help you set this up and recruit snacks.

MUSIC HELPERS:  Janice Brunner will be directing our music time, but will need some helpers to encourage and help with participation.

COORDINATOR AND CO-COORDINATOR:  Emily Miller and Pastor Val will provide most direction this year, however, we would like to begin training coordinators to take over mid year.  Are you interested in providing this kind of leadership?  Pioneer Clubs is a wonderfully, coordinator friendly program which is laid out nicely in a coordinator’s handbook.  Let us know of your interest.

MEAL PROVIDERS:  Would you be interested in working with another family or Sunday school class to provide a meal?

Please call the church office, 332-5788, and let Pastor Val or Emily know if you can help.  We have begun praying for a wonderful group of leaders for this special ministry this fall.
